This is part of a series of blog posts called “14 Days to a Healthier You”
- Boosts your mood. Physical activity stimulates endorphins that will leave you happy and relaxed. The Mayo Clinic even reports that regular exercise can prevent depression.
- Boosts your energy level. Exercise increases circulation of blood throughout your body, which allows your heart and lungs to work more efficiently–giving you more energy.
- Boosts your sex life. Get that blood flowing down below (enough said!). Also, as you feel more confident about your body, you’ll feel more comfortable shedding your clothes for that special someone.
- Boosts your weight loss. Regular movement, along with a healthy diet, is an important part of a weight loss plan. Aim for at least 30 minutes per day.
What’s your favorite way to move your body? Anything’s game: running, walking, climbing, gardening, skateboarding… I could go on. If you can’t find time for a dedicated workout, try to build movement into your day. For example, I try to walk to and from work (1.5 mi each way) whenever I can.
RECOMMENDATION: Move! Find something you love–and that makes you feel good about your body while you’re doing it–and incorporate it into your routine at least three times per week.
